    Substitute Teaching

    Liberty Hill ISD welcomes qualified applicants to join our team.   In order to become a substitute at Liberty Hill ISD, an applicant must meet the following criteria:

    1.)    Hold a high school diploma or its equivalent.

    2.)    Required to complete the fingerprint process according to Senate Bill 9. 

    3.)    Attend a substitute workshop conducted by LHISD.

    4.)    Complete a Substitute Application and all required documents  Substitute Application

    5.)    Complete a Criminal History Background Check   Criminal History Verification Form

     

    Upcoming Substitute Workshops

    September 18. 2009  9:00 a.m. -11:30 a.m.            Sessions Are Full

    September 21, 2009 9:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.           Sessions Are Full

    March 12, 2010 9:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.                   Sessions Are Full

    Applications will be accepted beginning in August, 2010 for the 2010-2011 school year.  Workshops will be scheduled in September, 2010.

     

    What to Bring to the Workshop

    Please bring the following with you to the workshop: 

    1.)    Copy of highest level of education: high school diploma/equivalent, college diploma, college transcript.

    2.)    Copy of Teaching Certificate (if applicable)

    3.)    Original proof of identity and a copy (Drivers License)

    4.)    Original proof of employment eligibility and a copy (Social Security Card)


    Please download and complete these forms and bring them with you to workshop. 

    5.)    Employment Eligibility Form (I-9)  Complete Section I Only

    6.)    Federal Withholding Exemption Form (W-4)

    7.)    Personnel Info Sheet

    8.)    Ethnicity/Race Questionnaire

    9.)    Social Security Statement

    10.) Part-Time, Seasonal and Temporary Employees Retirement Plan

    All substitutes are required to undergo a national criminal history record check according to Senate Bill 9, signed into law in the Fall of 2007.  Therefore, before you can begin work at LHISD, you will be required to complete the fingerprint process. 

    You will be required to pay the fees to a third party ranging from $51 to $53 depending on method payment.   Further information will be provided at the workshop.  Instructions and required documentation will be provided for you.
