Please complete the Parent/Guardian Inventory Form if your student was referred for testing for January 2019.
For additional information regarding the Liberty Hill ISD Gifted and Talented (GT) program, please see the links below and/or contact the counselor or GT coordinator for your student's campus. Transfer, previously identified GT students, will be evaluated throughout the year, not only in the January window. Please see your student's counselor if you have questions.
Liberty Hill ISD Gifted and Talented Program
Liberty Hill Independent School District (Liberty Hill ISD) recognizes students from all ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic groups regardless of existing handicaps or disabilities may demonstrate an exceptional ability in academics or divergent thinking.
Liberty Hill ISD has adopted policies and designed programs to address the unique needs of those students identified as gifted and/or talented. Identified gifted and talented students in kindergarten through 8th grade are provided with on-going educational services through the district’s gifted and talented program STRIVE (Strengthening Talents, Reasoning, and Intellect through Varied Experiences). Students identified as gifted and talented and in 7th through 12th grade are served through one or more of the four foundation courses by a teacher trained in differentiating instruction for the unique needs of a student who is gifted and talented.
It is the goal of Liberty Hill ISD to ensure all such students are provided with a variety of educational experiences which support their individual potential for excellence.

In accordance with the Texas Education Code 29.121, LHISD defines “gifted and talented” as a child or youth who performs at or shows the potential for performing at a remarkably high level of accomplishment when compared to others of the same age, experience, or environment and who exhibits high performance capability in an intellectual, creative, or artistic area, possesses an unusual capacity for leadership, or excels in a specific academic field.
