My name is Travis Motal and I am excited to be the principal of Liberty Hill Junior High. I have previously served as principal at the middle school and elementary school levels in Taylor ISD. I began my career in Pflugerville ISD as a teacher and assistant principal and graduated from Texas State with my bachelor and master degrees. I have thoroughly enjoyed my teaching and administrative career and learned so much from the teachers, students, and parents I have worked with. I am looking forward to a great year in Liberty Hill ISD with wonderful families and community to continue building a culture of champions.

I am married to my beautiful wife, Anjie Motal, and we have two kids, Emma and Ben. We also have a dog named Cooper that keeps us busy. Our family loves being outdoors playing games or going to the pool and we also enjoy our family game nights together.

I believe the parents and community have a tremendous influence on the success of a school so do not hesitate to reach out to me to share what is working great and we should continue or an area where we could improve. My email is tmotal@libertyhill.txed.net and please follow me on Twitter @Principal_Motal.

My name is Brandi Pennington and I am privileged to be the Assistant Principal at Liberty Hill Junior High. I'm proud to say that this is my thirteenth year in education. I have had the opportunity to teach at the elementary and secondary level. I was the assistant principal at the intermediate campus in Taylor for the past two years. I graduated from Angelo State University with my Elementary Education degree, and received my Master's degree in Educational Administration from Concordia University.

I am married to my wonderful husband, Jameson, and we have a son, Jason. We love to spend time together and travel whenever we can.

I truly believe that for our students to be successful it takes the collaboration of parents, staff, and students working together towards the same goal. I look forward to working with you to make this an amazing year.

My name is Bryan Branch and I am excited to be an Assistant Principal at Liberty Hill Junior High. This is my 21st year in education, but my first as an administrator. I am a graduate of Coleman High School. I received my bachelors at Southwest Texas State University and my masters through Lamar University. I spent the past 21 years teaching and coaching girls athletics. I started at Dripping Springs Middle School as a Junior High teacher and coach. I went on to several schools moving up the coaching ranks. The highlight of my coaching career was at Louise High School where between 2008-2011 we won two regional championships in track, a regional championship in basketball, and a state championship in volleyball. In 2017, I decided that I wanted to move closer to home and I was fortunate to take a position as the Girls Athletic Coordinator at Liberty Hill Junior High.

I am married to my wonderful wife, Vonnie and we have one son, Cayden, who attends Liberty Hill High School. We love basketball and most all of our outside activities or vacations involve basketball in some way.

I am very excited about this new phase of my educational career. I look forward to working with the students, teachers, staff, and community to make Liberty Hill Junior High the best it can possibly be. As a parent and an educator, I want all of our students to maximize their potential and have a positive experience in school. You are only in Junior High once during your life, so I want students and teachers to enjoy this time, reach their full potential, and begin to lay the foundation for the paths that their lives will take.
