Aaron Russo - Principal

Mr. Russo was born and raised in the supportive, hard-working town of Liberty Hill. He attended all grade levels and graduated as a Panther. He truly is a Panther for life. In addition to earning a Bachelor's degree in Sports Management and Communications from Dallas Baptist University, Mr. Russo earned a Master's degree in Educational Leadership from the same school, while teaching and working for the Athletic Department. Once Mr. Russo and his wife, Meredith, learned they were expecting a son, Mr. Russo knew Liberty Hill would be the perfect place to raise a family. 
 
Back in Liberty Hill ISD, Mr. Russo has had several tremendous experiences. During his time at the Middle School, he taught and coached. After that, he taught AP physics and coached at the high school. In 2020, he was named Assistant Principal at Liberty Hill Elementary.
 
It is with gratitude that Mr. Russo, his wife Meredith, and their son, Amos, join the Rancho Sienna family. In order to make the greatest impact on each student, Mr. Russo places great value on community, collaboration, and partnership. With all of you and his staff, he looks forward to equipping, inspiring, and growing every student who walks into Rancho Sienna Elementary School. Go Panthers!

Julie Johnson - Assistant Principal

I am Julie Johnson and am excited to be joining the Rancho Sienna family this year! I am coming from Argyle in the north DFW area with my husband, Denver, and our youngest son, Tucker, who will be a freshman at LHHS this fall. We have five other children and two grandbabies spread out through Texas, Oklahoma, and South Carolina. In my spare time I enjoy reading, watching sports, attending live entertainment, doing needlework, and traveling.

I graduated from Oklahoma State University with a B.S. in Elementary Education. I have been a lower and upper elementary classroom teacher. The last several years I have been a STEM specialist teaching all levels pre-k through fourth grade. I have also served as our RTI Coordinator, a member of our Campus and District Leadership Teams, curriculum writer, and led professional development. As a life-long learner myself, this passion led me to obtaining my Masters degree in Educational Technology Leadership with a principal certification from Lamar University. After my husband took a position in Georgetown last winter, we decided to make the move permanently to the area. I look forward to the opportunity to get to know you and be a part of this wonderful school community!

Erin Boyd - Assistant Principal

I am Erin Boyd and just recently moved back to the area with my husband Andrew, daughter Bonnie, and son Nolan.  We are excited to raise our babies closer to family. In my spare time, I enjoy being outdoors, reading, cooking and making memories with my little family. 

I could not be more excited to serve the district where I started my own education.  I attended the University of Texas at Austin and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Learning and Development. After graduation, I spent 10 years serving Austin ISD and have learned a great deal from the experiences of the past decade. I have taught in both primary and upper elementary classrooms, served as a lead mentor, and promoted campus efforts in cultural proficiency and inclusiveness. In May 2020, I graduated from Texas State University with a Master’s in Educational Leadership. I look forward to the next chapter of my educational journey with Rancho Sienna and this fantastic community. I can’t wait to meet each of you. Go Panthers!
