Liberty Hill ISD Board of Trustees approves new Liberty Hill High School Principal

LIBERTY HILL- Following a special called board meeting on June 6, 2022, LHISD is proud to announce Bryon Ellison as the new Principal of Liberty Hill High School. Mr. Ellison has worked in education for the past 20 years, serving as a teacher, coach, and administrator for Austin ISD, Round Rock ISD, and Leander ISD. Before coming to Liberty Hill ISD, Ellison worked as an Associate Principal at Vista Ridge High School in Leander ISD for eight years. 

Mr. Ellison graduated from Hardin Simmons University in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education. He then pursued his Master’s Degree in Education Administration from Lamar University in 2010. 

Mr. Ellison and his wife, Brooke, of nineteen years, have three children. He and his family currently reside in Liberty Hill, where their children attend Bill Burden Elementary School. Ellison enjoys fishing and spending time with his family in his spare time.

Superintendent Snell said, “Having a strong High School Principal is a critically important position as we move forward. We feel fortunate to have Mr. Ellison joining us as our next High School Principal. He brings outstanding experiences to this position; you will find his leadership and passion for students and staff contagious.”
