*PRESS RELEASE* Ekram Sharif Mezayek selected as the new Chief of Security for Liberty Hill ISD
Congratulations to Ekram Sharif Mezayek who will be joining the Liberty Hill Independent School District this summer as the new chief of security.
Mezayek has over 25 years of law enforcement experience and will be retiring from the Williamson County Sheriff’s Department in June. During his time with Williamson County, he has served as a patrol deputy, school resource officer, narcotics detective, patrol sergeant, and SRO/crime prevention sergeant. He has achieved many certifications including Master Law Enforcement Officer, Mental Health Officer, Instructor and NASRO National Practitioner. He has been honored with the 2008 Outstanding Crime Prevention Manager Award, the Trilogy Award from FBI LEEDA, as well as, the 2017 Community Builder Award from the Masonic Lodge in Georgetown, Texas.
Mezayek and his wife Tammy grew up in the Texas Hill Country and have been married for 28 years. They have two sons, Zane and Kyle, a daughter in law, Kate, and two beautiful granddaughters, Vayda and Lana.

I have focused my career around my passion for school safety and I’m excited to have the opportunity to serve the students and the Liberty Hill ISD community. Together with administrators and families, we will strive to ensure a safe learning environment for our Panther Nation, remembering to have fun along the way,” Mezayek states.
