Welcome New Legacy Ranch Campus Athletic Coordinator/Head Coach Tim Knicky

The Liberty Hill ISD Board of Trustees would like to announce the hiring of Tim Knicky as the Legacy Ranch High School Campus Athletic Coordinator and Head Football Coach.

Growing up and working in Texas, Tim has an extensive career in sports, both as a player and as a coach. Prior to coming to Liberty Hill ISD, Tim was the defensive coordinator at Georgetown High School where they bolstered their way to the 10-win mark for the first time in a decade. This was his second stint at Georgetown as he also worked there from 2012-2017 as the special teams and defensive line coach. There, he helped amass a 48-14 record in five years with an 8-4 playoff record. He was also a track coach and a basketball coach during this time.

From 2017-2022 Knicky worked in a coaching/coordinating capacity for football, track and powerlifting at Willis and Cedar Park High Schools. While at Willis HS, he helped lead the team to reach the playoffs in the first two years of being a 6A program and the second round of the playoffs for the first time in 12 years. As the head track coach, he grew the overall track program by 20% and coached the first regional track qualifier at Willis in over five years. In addition, as the head powerlifting coach he led multiple athletes to the regional meet along with one state qualifier.

Prior to being an educator in Texas high schools, Coach Knicky was a professional football player as an NFL linebacker for the Green Bay Packers, New York Jets and the Cincinnati Bengals. He played college football while earning his bachelor of science degree in kinesiology from Stephen F. Austin. While playing college ball, he was a two-year All-America selection, 2009 Southland Conference defensive player of the year, and SFA male athlete of the year.

Planning to begin with LHISD by February, Coach Knicky will be bringing his positive energy to our district as he begins to prepare to open athletic programs at Legacy Ranch High School this fall.

We are so excited to welcome Coach Tim Knicky and his family to our Liberty Hill ISD family! For additional information, visit our web article.

TXAF: Texas Against Fentanyl - Fake Pills take Real Lives.

Prescription pills used to be able to 'take the edge off,' relieve our stress, or even let us do something a bit wild without too much risk of accidentally dying. That's not always possible anymore. Fake pills are taking real lives and families are left missing their loved ones terribly.
