Proclamation 2024 - Adoption Information
The State Board of Education issued Proclamation 2024 in April of 2022 to call for instructional materials related to the following content areas: K-12 Science, K-8 Technology Applications, High School Personal Financial Literacy & Economics, and multiple CTE courses.
The SBOE has published their list of approved publishers under Proclamation 2024, and LHISD will make the selection of our adopted materials from this approved list for K-8 Science and Biology. These materials will be implemented in classrooms beginning with the 2024–2025 school year.
Liberty Hill Independent School District operates as a closed district to publishers during the adoption process. Any publishers should contact only the district Instructional Materials Coordinator, Elizabeth DeFrancisis, regarding materials under review for Proclamation 2024. Publishers should not contact campus instructional staff.
More information about the current adoption can be found on the TEA Proclamation site under the heading Proclamation 2024. This section includes online access to the current Proclamation 2024 Pre-Adoption Samples.
LHISD Science Adoption Resources
The LHISD Science Instructional Materials Selection Committee is in the process of reviewing materials for our district adopted resources in alignment with TEA Proclamation 2024 for Science K-12. Printed sample materials will be available for review by the public at the Preview Nights listed below and hosted by the LHISD Instructional Materials Coordinator, Elizabeth DeFrancisis.
Public review of the instructional materials is available digitally via links provided by each publisher. Additionally, each publisher has furnished the district with printed sample materials. While the digital access is available to the public at any time, these printed materials will be available for viewing at the scheduled preview events.
We welcome public input via the LHISD Science Materials Feedback Form, and printed forms will be available at the preview events.
