LHISD Board of Trustees seek candidates for appointee to serve in Place 4 position
The Liberty Hill ISD Board of Trustees will appoint a new member to serve temporarily in the Trustee Place 4 position, which is being vacated by Trustee Kathy Major. The Board accepted Major’s resignation in a called Board meeting on August 18, 2025. The appointee will serve until the May 2026 election, when the Place 4 seat will be on the ballot. The winner of the May 2026 election will serve out Trustee Major’s term, which expires in May 2027.
Qualified community members who would like to be considered are invited to fill out the application. Completed application packets must be returned by 4:30 p.m. on August 26th. Applications are available at the Liberty Hill ISD Administration Building located at 301 Forrest Street, starting on August 19, during operation hours from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
To be eligible to be appointed as a Trustee, a person must:
be a United States citizen,
be 18 years of age or older,
have not been determined to be totally or partially mentally incapacitated by the courts,
have not been convicted of a felony,
be a resident of Texas for at least 12 months,
be a resident of Liberty Hill ISD for at least six months, and
be a registered voter.
The Board will review and consider all applications submitted.

Candidate Application.
Proof of voter registration
Resume of qualifications.
Statement of the philosophy of board service and their commitment as a Trustee for Liberty Hill ISD (500 words or less).
