This comprehensive calendar reflects the culmination of an extensive process involving the careful consideration of over 2100 survey submissions from families and staff.

"We are thrilled to unveil a school calendar that not only meets the state's instructional requirements but also emphasizes the well-being of our students and the professional growth of our dedicated staff," said Travis Motal, Chief of Schools, Liberty Hill ISD.

Key Features of the 2024-25 Academic Calendar:

  • Increased Staff Development Days: More staff development days have been integrated into the calendar, promoting ongoing professional growth and team planning for faculty to deliver the highest quality of education.

  • Important Dates: Notable dates include New Teacher Orientation (Aug. 1-2, 2024), Back-to-School Staff Development (Aug. 5-13, 2024), and the All Staff Summer Learning Conference (May 27-28, 2025).

  • Strategic Breaks: Aligned with Austin Community College and the University of Texas, the calendar includes a full week off for Thanksgiving, a two-week winter break, and a week-long spring break.

Promoting Attendance and Student Success:

Liberty Hill ISD emphasizes the importance of regular attendance for student success. Even a single missed day can impact a student's learning trajectory. To support this, the district encourages families to consider the academic calendar when planning vacations.

Steve Snell, Superintendent of Liberty Hill ISD, stated, "We believe this calendar reflects our commitment to providing a supportive and enriching learning environment for our students. The additional focus on staff development underscores our dedication to continuous improvement and excellence in education."
